Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which Plutodale Ventures Private Limited ("Qube", "we", "us", or "our") manages cancellations of hardware orders, rental agreements, subscription services, and platform-related charges. By placing an order, signing up for a subscription, or using any part of the Qube ecosystem, you agree to the terms set forth in this Policy.

1. Scope and Applicability

This Policy applies to all users of Qube's Services, including purchasers of smart meters, renters of hardware equipment, subscribers of the Qube dashboard and SaaS features, and individuals who use the platform to manage prepaid electricity recharges. The cancellation terms differ depending on the nature of the service or product being requested for cancellation, as described in the sections below.

2. Cancellation of Hardware Purchases

Orders for hardware devices, including smart meters and accessories, cannot be cancelled once the order has been processed, approved, shipped, or scheduled for installation. Due to the specialized nature of Qube's hardware, allocation of device serial numbers, and logistical preparation involved, cancellations are not permitted after dispatch or processing.

If a customer requests cancellation before the order has been processed, Qube may, at its discretion and after verifying the order status, allow such cancellation. However, Qube is not obligated to honor cancellation requests for orders already in preparation, testing, packaging, or transit.

3. Cancellation of Hardware Rental Services

Customers who enter into rental agreements for Qube devices may request cancellation of the rental service; however, rental fees already paid for the current billing cycle are non-refundable. If a rental service is cancelled before the next billing cycle, the cancellation will take effect at the end of the current cycle.

Security deposits collected for rented hardware are refundable only after the device is returned in good working condition without signs of tampering, misuse, or damage. If a device is not returned or is returned in a damaged state, Qube may deduct repair costs or withhold the deposit in full, at Qube's sole discretion.

Rental cancellations do not entitle customers to any refund of previously paid rental fees, installation charges, or service fees, and all such amounts shall be forfeited upon cancellation.

4. Cancellation of Subscriptions and SaaS Services

Subscriptions to Qube's dashboard, API platform, analytics tools, device management modules, or any other cloud-based services may be cancelled by the user at any time through the account settings or by contacting support. However, cancellation only stops future renewals and does not entitle the subscriber to a refund for any portion of the subscription period already paid for.

Monthly and annual subscription fees are non-refundable, even if the subscriber stops using the Services or fails to utilize certain features. Upon cancellation, access to subscription features will continue until the end of the current billing cycle, after which access will be revoked automatically without further notice.

Qube reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to subscription services if the user violates the Terms & Conditions or engages in misuse, abuse, or fraudulent activity. In such cases, no refund will be provided for any subscription fees already paid, and the user shall have no claim against Qube for such termination.

5. Cancellation of Prepaid Recharge Transactions

Qube provides the technology platform that enables tenants and occupants to recharge prepaid electricity meters. However, Qube does not act as the merchant-of-record for these transactions, and funds from such recharges are settled directly into the account of the property owner or building manager.

Because Qube does not hold or control these funds, recharge transactions cannot be cancelled under any circumstances. Once a recharge is processed, it is immediately applied to the meter and cannot be reversed, refunded, retracted, or adjusted by Qube. Any request relating to incorrect recharge amounts, accidental payments, or disputes must be addressed directly with the property owner or building management team, and Qube bears no responsibility or liability for such matters.

6. Cancellation of Installation Appointments

If installation services are requested or scheduled, cancellations must be communicated at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled time. Failure to do so may result in the customer being charged a service fee for the visit, especially in cases where the installation team has already been dispatched or resources have been allocated for the scheduled installation.

Qube may also charge rescheduling fees depending on resource allocation, travel logistics, and the nature of the request, and such fees shall be communicated to the customer prior to rescheduling.

7. Service Suspension by Qube

Qube reserves the right to suspend or cancel customer access to Services, hardware support, subscription features, or dashboard tools if it discovers violations of the Terms & Conditions, fraudulent or illegal activity, tampering with devices or software, misuse of APIs or unauthorized integration attempts, non-payment of dues or invoices, or security threats or attempts to compromise system integrity.

Such suspensions or cancellations do not entitle the customer to any refund or compensation, and Qube shall have no liability to the customer for any losses or damages resulting from such suspension or cancellation.

8. Implications of Cancellation

A cancellation of any Service does not affect outstanding dues owed to Qube, previous legally binding agreements, ownership or return obligations for rented hardware, access to remaining meter balance which is controlled by property management, or data retention required for audit or compliance purposes.

Qube may retain data for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons even after cancellation, and such retention shall be in accordance with applicable laws and Qube's data retention policies as set forth in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to This Policy

Qube may update or modify this Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect evolving business practices, legal requirements, or operational changes. Updates take effect when posted on our website, and continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
