Qube One Smart Meter Installation Guide
This guide will walk you through installing your Qube One smart meter. The entire process takes approximately 10 minutes.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- Qube One smart meter
- Mounting bracket and screws
- WiFi network credentials
- Qube mobile app installed
- Basic electrical tools
- Voltage tester
Safety Precautions
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Always turn off the main power supply before starting installation. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Safety First
Turn off the main power supply at the circuit breaker. Use a voltage tester to verify that power is completely off before proceeding.
Step 2: Mount the Meter
- Mark the mounting location on the wall (1.5-2 meters from ground)
- Drill holes for the mounting bracket
- Secure the bracket using provided screws
- Attach the Qube One meter to the bracket
Step 3: Connect Wires
- Connect the input wire (from main supply) to the input terminal
- Connect the output wire (to load) to the output terminal
- Ensure all connections are tight and secure
- Double-check wire connections against the wiring diagram
Step 4: Connect to WiFi
- Power on the meter by turning on the main supply
- Open the Qube mobile app
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the meter to WiFi
- Enter your WiFi network credentials
- Wait for the connection confirmation
Step 5: Verify Installation
- Check the Qube dashboard to verify the meter is online
- Verify that the meter is sending real-time data
- Test the QR code recharge functionality
- Confirm all features are working correctly
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues during installation:
- Meter not connecting to WiFi: Check signal strength and credentials
- No data showing: Wait 5-10 minutes for initial sync
- Display not working: Check power supply and connections
